Ok I stopped at the house, turns out the man who started this orchid live next door, He told me that he started it 8 years ago and it would be bigger if it wasn't for hurricane Willma. He said it is not a Cattleya but couldn't remember what it was. I took a good look at it up close and it has new spikes coming out. He also told me that it blooms every Father Day. He said he will look for pictures of the flowers so I can post them.

Well done! Looking forward to seeing the flowers on it Was it bifolate? Did the spikes originate from the bottom of the sides of the bulbs or from the middle in the top of the growths?
