Default Is this an Orchid?

Hi folks,

Yesterday we went on a forest walk and i found a sea of these babies. The leafs look like phaps but i have no idea and i could not find 1 with an open flower. Im just starting to explore the woods, i did find some neat Trilliums

Thanks for looking.

It does look like an orchid leaf, but I don't really know.

Hey Churny
Lots of bulbous perennials will look similar to orchids due to their monocot-nature. Haven't heard about mottled leaved orchids near our stretch of the 'wood' (literally!) as most of our natives are cypripediums and perhaps epipactis (helleborines). Could this be an Erythronium (dog-tooth violet) - a beautiful non-orchid spring bloomer?

The Dog Tooth and Trout Lili kind of look like it but not the same or maybe just a different variety. I'll post pics once i work up the enery to throt back into the woods to take pics of the flowers. I'll give them some time to open.
Txs guys.

My vote is also for an Erythronium (trout lily). They are blooming this time of the year and the double mottled leaves look right.
