Elusive Laelia hybrid, any guesses?
so far, no one has been able to identify it, after a month or two, i remembered i could ask you guys too!
well, hopefully someone will know...
GENERAL
pale green plant in colour, much paler than my other 'chids.
the inflorescence in around 12-13 cm (4-5 inches) long and about 4-5 millimetres in diameter, flowers are firm, but flexible, like a cattleya
pronounced stripes inside throat, deep pink labellum joined to tops of throat, which is divided
faint scent of honey, possibly no scent, not exactly sure, as i got a scent, but others couldnt detect one.
ridged plant with a creeping rhizome, close together, flowers only once per plant segment, roots quite thick, like a vanda, prolific.
only two even leaves per plant segment, never more, never less. by even i mean on level, not one enveloping other at base like oncids,
thanks heaps guys,
-J
