They may well be distinct and seperate taxa, but only after someone sorts out this mess. At the moment, we don't even have a concensus on their genera

I don't agree. Oncidium/Odontoglossum/Trichocentrum/Lophiaris carthagenense flowers are only 3/4" across. This looks much bigger.

The spotting is similar however, if less dense, so maybe it's a hybrid with it...

2" is what Demandrea said. So that's what I think it is most likely to be too.

Ray,

I have seen a few Tricho. carthagense in person. I do agree, they have flowers about the size you specified. Perhaps it is then a cross of the named species and a Cyrtochilum?

I believe this plant is Oncidium andreanum.Has more color than a normal carthagenense.Plust the plant looks smaller also.90% sure of this.
