Also, do you think this baby needs to be repotted? (after it's done blooming, of course)

What does the medium look like? The way the roots are growing out of the thin slits, I would be afraid they will cut the roots. I would cut the pot off with scissors and re-pot with fresh mix.

The medium is definitely bark, but not like it's worn down or anything. I will probably repot when it stops blooming. I mean, the picture is after I cut off the dead roots; there were a bunch of really dead ones at the ends of the healthy ones poking out of the slits in the pot
