Trying to Identify Oncidium?
Default Trying to Identify Oncidium?

Hello All-

First post. Been growing orchids for a couple years and have been reading a lot of helpful advice on this forum. I could use a little help.

About a year ago I bought what was sold as Bllra Ysabella "Lunar Eclipse" (see photo).

What I got was mostly definitely not that (see other photos) and I don't think it's even a Beallara (Aliceara).

Any ideas on what this could be? Some sort of Oncidium?

Also, does anyone know of any Bllra Lunar Eclipse for sale out there? Can't seem to find one online.

Thanks much!

Trying to Identify Oncidium? Female
Default

First, Welcome!

Both of these plants are Oncidium-tribe intergeneric hybrids, and all of thoe have pretty much the same culture. (They like to stay damp, medium light, cool to intermediate temperatures) So there are various combinations within the Oncidium group (and the names of the hybrid genera have changed now that what used to be separate genera got folded into Oncidium) So just enjoy!
