Is it possible to identify the type of orchid from only the leaves. I got this orchid several years ago and I divided it, but lost the tag. I have about 4 or 5 of them. They seem to eb okay but still young no blooms etc yet. I got them when were in either Hawaii or at my brothers in Australia. Those were order and I got them at the Orchid show in Toronto . I have emailed the picture to the company but no replay as yet, thanks once again
A Dendrobium that looks like it could use a repotting... as soon as you see new growth would be the time to do it. It looks like one of the tropical types, that does not need any sort of a rest period (so keep damp)
If you ordered it from the vendor for pickup at a show, if you can find the email acknowledging the order, it should say what you ordered.
It's probably either Dendrobium kingianum, or a hybrid involving it and other Australian species. For the winter keep it as bright as you can. Flowering of kingianum is triggered by cool nights, under 55 F / 13C for 6 weeks. Some people have trouble flowering them indoors in the winter because they don't have a space with those temperatures. Withholding water does not help with flowering but can damage the plant.

thanks everyone, I think you are all correct that they are all Dendrobium Kingianum, I remember the Dendrobium and my wife said that the King name was with it. Now I have most of my orchids named and labelled. several others are send out to growths, so I will keep and on them. I think I will repot a couple of them, again thanks for all the help
