Scent is so subjective... Prosthechea radiata has a reputation of smelling sort of like that, or urine to some people. To me, it's more like wintergreen. I'm pretty sure the pictured flower isn't radiata, though... One clue might be conditions under which it is growing... fragrans grows warmer than radiata. Radiata has somewhat wider segments. Also.. Prosthechea fragrans is from South America, P. radiata from Central America. So if came from a local source, P. fragrans is more likely.
