Maxillaria lawrenceana?
This identification was suggested to me but also Camaridium sp., apparently a synonym. I would love to find out what it is as there is a huge plant growing as a terrestrial near my house. I also see it in a nearby tree growing as an epiphyte.

It might be, it looks like a larger more robust plant though, I will look around to see what other species it could be.

Thanks Afid. That ID isn/t completely convincing. I look forward to a more convincing ID if you find one.

It happens more often than you think, especially with maxillarias due to the convoluted taxonomy.
