Default Oncidium orchid ID help!

I received this small orchid that is about a 10inches tall. This is not the first time it has flowered since there is still a old bloom spike that was cut on the prior growth. 4 psudobulbs with burgundy flowers that have a white/light pink lip that with rimmed with a pink. Fragrant orchid that smells like vanilla/chocolate in the morning/afternoon. I thought it was a Onc. Sherry baby hybrid but since the size of it is small I was unsure. Flowers definitely seem similar though.

A photo will help a lot. A hybrid without a tag will never be unambiguously identified (so will remain a NOID) since for most hybrids, there are several that are similar. But a photo will help to at least give people a chance to tell you a little more about it.

There is "sticky" in the Introductions forum with notes about uploading photos. For a start, you need to switch to "Go Advanced" from the posting dialog box. Then you can scroll down to Manage Attachments. That will open a new window (you may have to give your browser permission to open the pop-up) Browse for the file, click Upload, and the picture will be there when you post the message.

I can see the image. It definitely resembles a Sharry Baby but there are many crosses out there with the same colors and similar fragrances(including the parents of the Sharry Baby hybrid). We may never know what it is for sure, but I think a beautifully colored, fragrant orchid is nice enough to enjoy even without a name.

I agree that there’s no way to ID it definitively but Oncidium Heaven Scent tends to look and smell like a small Sherry Baby. I picked one up that was a dead ringer for Onc. Heaven Scent ‘Redolence’ last year and one that looks like Onc. Heaven Scent ‘Sweet Baby’ earlier this year. Nice snag!

Yes, Sharry Baby, an absolute must for scent/fragrance.
Cheers, Bobj.
