It is beautiful! Until I went on a cruise on the Rio Negro in Brazil two months ago, I was completely unfamiliar with the genus. There I saw a lot of Gal. devoniana. That lip shape is really distinctive for the genus.
It was fantastic - the river was at flood stage, about 10 meters, so our boat was in the canopy - at times of low water, the orchids would have been very far above, for this trip they were right in front of us. I thought of genera like Galeandra and Sobralia as terrestrial, but there they grow as epiphytes... anything terrestrial would be drowned, the river is this high for 6 months of the year or more.
