maybe a silly question but could this be an equestris? how tall is it. what size plant, how much light, etc.?

Looks like Phal. Scilleriana v. purpurea to me too, but, there is a lot of variation in the color of both of these phals. Mostly due to light and temp. Temperature plays a bigger role in bloom color than most folks consider.
Just my very humble opinion.
