many thanks for that. I am off to buy some plant sticks to label it up
I will also have a quick look at there orchid collection whilst I am there in the hope that the have a variegated one

phal yu pin pearl can look like that too. There are several with that look. Phals can be difficult to ID with complete certainty because they hybridize and are mass produced to readily, so label your noID with caution.
Here is my photo of yu pin pearl from last year. It is in bud right now though.

The harlequin phals in particular are very hard to ID as no two flowers on the same spike are identical. I would image they look different with each flowering season. I think you're safe to label it harlequin NOID knowing that there is Golden Peoker in the parentage somewhere.

thanks for the answers.
My Phal does not have the purple stripe, just a few purple dots on it, it is still really pretty though.

I will lable it as a Harelquin type noid
