What do you have them potted in? I'm wondering if it's possible that you're not watering them as much as they may like. ??? Do you base your watering more so on a every 10 days sort of schedule or are you checking the medium regularly to see when they are close to dry?
I had a keiki spike in April/May, the two blooms were open from July-August, at which point a third bud developed and has been open for maybe a month. Meanwhile its twin brother started a spike in late August (I just accidentally broke off the most mature bud
). Third week of September the mother plant of these two started growing a spike.
Then there's my big box store Phals, Pink Pirate & a NoID, both in bloom when I got them in late February, early March. The NoID had two spikes, after blooms died only one spike browned so I left the other. The old spike started growing buds on it third week of August, and it's growing a second spike. One bloom on the old spike is open now (and I broke off one of its buds too
) while the new spike is still developing, as is the case for Pink Pirate. None of my other Phals are spiking.
Here's the catch, the keikis and mother have been inside all summer, while the other two spent the summer outdoors. The indoor plants were fed more because I had to manually water them while the outdoor two got a lot of rain. The outdoor plants started on south-east facing stoop, later moved to north facing deck that gets a lot of light overall. The only thing these plants have in common with each other is their medium yes but they are all in pots with holes on one side or all around. My keikis btw are less than two years old and were dehydrated along with the mother at the beginning of the year. The NoID was a big box rescue. If I recall correctly I repotted it while it was in bloom and it only lost one flower as a result.
Good luck, keep us posted.
