Default floppy phal leaves

I have a couple of phals with floppy leaves ( from watering?) But the plants are otherwise healthy. My question is can a floppy leaf be rehabbed back to a firm one or is my only hope for the new leaves to be firm?

Thanks!!

Did you look at the roots? Floppy leaves can result from under watering, which can happen either because you're not giving your plant enough moisture, or because the roots are dead and can't whick water and nutrients to the plant.
If your roots are firm and healthy, just soak your plant in water for an hour or so. The older leaves might not plump up 100%, but the new ones should grow healthy once you adjust your watering habits.
If the plant's roots are dead, it's a totally different situation, and I'll let other, more experienced growers, give you a good advice on how to revive your plant.

seabead22, have you checked out the roots of your plant? What condition are they in? Do you have a pic?
That is really the only way to give you good advice for your situation. The symptoms for under-watering and over-watering are very similar.

The roots are fine. I know that its my lack of watering {oops} thats the cause. I just don't know if the floppy ones will get firm again.

Well if that's the case, Lana's advice was spot on.

Agreed. If it's due to underwatering the leaves will sometimes plump up a little after a good soak, but not always. As long as the new leaves are nice and firm there is no need for concern.
