I bought one of these in a 4" pot a year and a half ago and finally a couple months ago it started to spike for the first time. The spike is at about 8" now with a couple buds just starting to emerge. Looks like it will be worth the wait.
EDIT:
I just found an older thread where I see Pilot ordered his from Hausermann's the same time I did.

P. I Hsin Sunflower is a highly regarded cross that's fequently used for breeding of non-fading yellows. Your's is beautiful. Good growing.
