I too have one of these charmers from Home Depot. Mine flowered from June through October and put up another spike that got damaged.
The pot is getting quite crowded and I'm thinking of repotting. Any suggestions as to the kind of medium to use. The original medium hs decomposed it looks like some bark and chips of some sort.
Do I treat it lilke a phalenopsis.
Does anyone know the background on this variety. I take it that it is a hybrid of some sort.
I love the hearty little flowers like yellow and white twirrling parasols.

Hi Captain and Welcome to the OB. This plant kept flowers till Feb. 08. I do treat it just like a Phal. It has not rebloomed since.

That's a great one! I've been eyeing it myself but I am sure not going to find it at Home Depot.

Our Home Depots (I go to a lot of them around town) have no interesting orchids.

Maybe need even more light to bloom!
