Agreed about it being strange upside down. The next flower along the spike has started to open and seems to be right side up (based on where the sepals are). Will be interesting to see what this plant does in the long run.
I just picked up 2 pelorics of this variety from Home Depot. The plant in the photo isn't quite a true peloric since the two laterals aren't really lips. The ones I got are true pelorics.
I am sure this is not uncommon in this clonal batch
