The best feeling, getting your orchids to spike and bloom and there's nothing like the first. Congratulations! You're no longer an orchid virgin.

It's on my balcony as close to the edge as it will go but this time of year my balcony gets not sunlight, it's all ambient/reflective light. But once the cool weather swooped in the spike poped out.

Uh-Oh!!! My first orchid was a dendrobium that I saved...70 chids later, I think I kinda like them!
