Phals are not my specialty. My conditions are more suitable to Cats. etc. But I have to admit this one is a stunner. Not too pinks have I seen. Reds, burgandy, fushia, yes! I can get over the bottom two sepals how the coloring is split down the middle...two different shading on each sepal. I would like to see next year when it is loaded with blooms.

Hi Don,
Yes, I was taken with the perfect split of the two bottom sepals. Really strange that.

I sure hope it puts on a better show next year. You can bet I'm going to baby it.

Al, That's a fantastic flower! What great colour and markings. Always wonderful when you see a seedlings flowers for the first time - but even better then they exceed your expectations!! Great growing!

I think it's more beautiful than a solid red. I love the vio "glow" in the center. GOR-geous! !!! And the second flower is likely to be more beautiful still.

Where did you get it?

An e-Bay vendor with whom I've built up a 'friendship' over the years. She just told me it should be a special red. Never know what those genes are going to do!!
