As I know, Schilleriana is hard to die, from the pic you posted, I think this plant can be saved, all you need is patience.
Of course except the vender who sold you this.

I would have sent the entire plant back, without ripping the leaves apart. At that point they would either need to refund me my money, or replace it. They can rip it up all they want themselves. Or maybe they think you can take some of the bad leaves off without killing the plant?

Thanks Bird. I have already begun treating it with Superthrive.
Wish me luck.

I agree with Gin. Panty hose or knee high hose work exceptionally well. They're very gentle, and expand with growth. If you don't have a supply you can purchase the cheapies from the dollar store and can some times find discarded ones at thrift shops for practically nothing. They're pretty durable and can be used and reused.

At last, I now now have a valid reason for all the years I've refused to discard my old pantyhose! Of course I still have a lot of explaining to do as to why I own any pantyhose. I suppose I could try to tell people that I used to be an armed robber or a mugger but I think they use stockings rather than pantyhose (the empty second hose dangling takes away some of the intimidation factor).
Wait a minute, this is 2008 and we're in America. I shouldn't have to explain my wardrobe to anyone!
Actually, I'll check with my wife and see what she may have that is in need of recycling.
Thanks,
AaronM

Junebug,
Please tell me you don't handle used pantyhose you find at the thrift store. Seriously, I need to go wash my hands now with really hot water and antibacterial soap just thinking about that.
For anyone considering buying USED pantyhose, I have one word "netherregionresidue". (Imagine a puking smiley here)
Slightly nauseated,
