New grow room soon
I am soon to convert my storage space off my porch to a lighted grow area so I have more space and can have my utility room back. Pictures soon to follow.

Here is the current light setup in my utility room. The new setup will take the six shop lights from this rack and put them all at one level over one 4'x3.5' area, plus there is room to expand in the new room. I'll be reorganizing the storage room, tomorrow and prepping to hang the lights.

Okay so finally getting around to updating. I hung seven shoplights over the 4x4 main area, and I think I will add one more, when I replace a few tubes that need replacing. The rack from the previous light cart is now in an alcove of the side of this, holding supplies, for now, but I believe I may eventually hang lights vertically from it and grow seedlings and minis there, and use this main space for taller plants, so I can have them at a more uniform height.

Looks nice, Ceci. Are some of the bulbs the plant bulbs (the ones with purplish color in the 2nd photo)? Is this why you are using T12 instead of T8 for some fixtures?

the two t-12s were just because when I built the original cart with one shelf, they only had 2 t-8s so I got to other two t-12s and mixed them. Then when I upgraded to the larger cart, had originally used them on the bottom shelf with seedlings. Overall now, I have a mix of cool white, warm white, plant and daylight tubes to try to cover the widest spectrum I can. Both t-12 need to have the tubes replaces, and the oldest two t-8.
