Autumn or ( Fall ) has well and truly set in here. Although it's not quite Easter yet the mornings and night are certainly cooler with a diurnal change of 9 - 10 degrees which is telling the Phals to start blooming. The mid afternoon sun is still quite strong so I havent removed the cover inside the greenhouse just yet maybe in another months time.
The plants are starting to slow down in growth as well as reduced watering which is nice as its been a very dry and hot summer. Soon i will start moving some indoors and leave the rest that can withstand the cold outside over - winter. Hopefully i will have another update for you all then.
I always have to stop and remember that your winter and ours is opposite of each other. I hope we have a wet spring again this year. I am waiting for the New Zealander's to be here soon to shear the sheep.
Indeed still a strange thought that we have Christmas at the beach and BBQs. Also the plants learn to adapt too on this island we call home.
I know, right. I remember several years ago I was talking to the shears and that was there question to me, how do you run the Bar Bee. It made me laugh. How do you go sledding? Such a different world, and yes I think you have way more orchids than we do, at least where I am from.
