I love this orchid, even though the blooms only last a few days. This one is mounted on a tree fern trunk in the yard. This year it had seven spikes. The color is so intense.

Beautiful plant, color (astounding), surroundings + 's.

Tell the blooms to hang around a little bit longer!

I love your bromeliads, too.

That's a really nice display.

Sometimes the short lived blooms are special because they are so fleeting.

I just bought one a month ago. Nice healthy looking plant, I'm really hoping it is going to go into bloom like yours. Looks amazing. Good work!

Nice display! Are you in Hawaii or FL? I guess they don't rest to bloom as they are watered constantly outside by rains?

I am in Hawaii. I stop watering it on Thanksgiving and begin again on Valentine's day. It gets rained on occasionally, but I am on the dry side of the island so we don't get much rain.

Beautiful looking plant.
As usual, you're a few weeks ahead of me, probably do to the difference in climate between the East and West sides of the island.
Nicely done.
