Den. Berry 'Oda'
I can't take any credit for the blooms since I got this plant at the supermarket 3 weeks ago. Normally I ignore supermarket orchids, but it's rare that they have anything other than Phals, so I caved in!
Den. Berry 'Oda' is a hybrid of Den. kingianum and Den. Mini Pearl (which is Den. canaliculatum x Den. bigibbum). Some say it's easier to bloom than kingianum, while others say that it it more difficult to bloom because the Mini Pearl parent needs more sun/heat to bloom (which may be difficult at my northernly latitude). I guess it's wait and see what happens next year!
In the meantime, I just can't get enough of the sweet fragrance.

All I can say is, " I want a supermarket that carries plants like that near me!". That is a gorgeous, large sized plant. It being fragrant is an added bonus that would have won me over for the sale. Congrats!

I literally just saw one or one similar at a local nursery I love (orchids they sell are similar to supermarket fare, but just a bit more interesting)... wasn't labeled but just assumed it was a den kingianum of some type... maybe i'll have to get it!
great find!

They carried them at Truffaut when I lived in Paris. Never seen them here in the U.S.
