Default Dendrobium Micro Chip

(Dendrobium aberrans x Dendrobium normanbyense)

This has long lasting blooms with a delicate fragrance like Yardley soap. This started to bloom 15th of January but I waited to take pictures as soon as the other spikes opened its blooms.
Nice robust bushy canes covered with small white and tiny purple spots and a creamy yellow lip. The flowers last for 2-3 months when they open its bloom.
Dendrobium Micro Chip is a primary hybrid of parents from the Latouria section of the genus Dendrobium: Dendrobium abberans and Dendrobium normanbyense. Both species are endemic to New Guinea and surrounding islands that are found at lower elevations and thus are hot to warm-growing epiphytes. One of the parent plant, Den. normanbyense, which was previously known as Den. atroviolaceum 'Pygmy' is now a new specie. Den. Micro Chip was formerly known as Den. Aussie's Chip.
Fortunately, Dendrobium Micro Chip happens to be well adapted to windowsill growing. I inherited this last year as a swap from one of our fellow members. I keep it between 60F at night and 85F degrees in the morning that I potted in a well-draining mix, it rewarded me with flowers this winter.
This is in the east facing kitchen window, weekly weakly K-lite fertilizer and seaweed mix and I allow mix to approach dryness before watering then I increase watering when in spike and during flowering.
