It's really so wonderful that you are growing so many orchids on trees! Camphor trees are pretty common here in Southern California and I have often wondered if they make suitable hosts for orchids. Now I know!
I really wish more people would grow orchids on trees. So I added a link to this thread on the reddit group for orchids on trees.
You should also consider sharing your photos on flickr. I'm sure they would inspire many other people to attach orchids to trees! Here's a group I created on flickr for orchids on trees.
Have you tried sowing the orchid seeds directly on your trees? I have and some actually germinated...
Here's the larger version of the photo.
It's easy to pollinate orchids (if the flowers aren't too small). The hard part is harvesting the pod before it opens! On my tree the seeds that germinated were all very close to the roots of orchids already growing on my tree. This probably means that the necessary fungus is only growing very close to the roots. Perhaps this is because it is very dry here. In Taiwan there's more rain and humidity...so perhaps the orchid seeds could germinate farther away from the orchid roots.

Wow~~~The orchid on trees on flicker is breath taking, thanks for sharing! I don't use flicker but will figure it out later...
Yes, I see the tiny bit of green on the bark! Never try this before, friends in our flowers. hunternet prefer test tube seed propagation. My dens and phals did have pods before, but I never had the idea of collecting the seed. Maybe I'll try like you did~

The germination rate is far better when you sow the seeds in test tubes...but it requires far more resources than simply sowing the seeds directly on your trees. Plus, the seedlings on your tree will be exposed to cooler/warmer temperatures and dryness. This means that only the strong will survive.
Who pollinates your Dendrobiums and Phalaenopsis? The other day I saw my hummingbird try and get nectar from my Dendrobium bigibbum. He looked disappointed but now I have a seed pod developing. I know that I didn't do it.

REALLY... no wonder some of you had bigger posts!
No, no one pollinated my orchids, the pods popped and seeds flew away... flowers.hunternet.com.tw is a local website covers most of the plants here. Some friends in Orchid Forum loves to sow orchid seeds in test tubes...
Wow~~~ You have hummingbirds... We don't have that creature here but one kind of moth flying like a hummingbird!
