A very striking flower, but I think you misstate this as a biggibum hybrid; it can't be more than 1/4 biggibum. The largest species contribution I could find in a few generations was tetragonum.

Definitely some bigibbum or phalaenopsis in there... you can tell from the shape of the petals. Maybe a bit of influence in the labellum too.

Yep. Just looked it up. It comes from the colonial surprise side. Not much but it's there.
