Our summer days are warm, but I suppose you could say the nights are cool-maybe 60F or 65F in summer. They live in the greenhouse. Maybe they should be on a heat mat at all times!
I wouldn't think those temps would be too cool - mine was getting much cooler - outside at night Oct, Nov ...
growing indoors this year, I know I've been getting up in the morning and it's about 66 in the house, and it's been just fine
Very cute and nice color, and look great in your pictures!
I see lots of these mini dendrobiums at stores now. very tempting. hehehe
Yours do look like bigibbum (I'm sure it was used as a parent somewhere along the breeding line) but flower shape is not as full and round as bigibbum.
Bigibbums withstand quite low temperature in the wild. dry and chilly rest season.
Spatulata types are true tropical found closer to the equator.

I have a bigibbum v compactum (posted bloom pix last week, I think ?)- you're right about the difference in shape - I haven't pushed low temps on that one, tho it probably gets a bit lower than the usual recommended temps in winter - but most of my orchids do
Yeah, I don't think the hybrids need that cool dry rest.
Many orchids will take lower than recommended minimum as long as they are kept on the dry side and got used to it slowly.
I don't push the limit though. lol
