Rec for antelope type dens

I'd like to purchase an antelope type den for my Bday. Can anyone rec a good online retailer for this type?

I don't know who sells what in the USA I'm afraid. Good nursaries I've heard of out there are Andys and Hausermans, and I've forgotten a couple I think. Don't know what they sell though.

I would suggest first going to Google and search for antelope dendrobium. See if you can find a couple that appeals to you. Then go to Ebay and do a search for your orchids. Or just do a search for dendrobium in ebay and select your choice. I have bought many orchids on ebay and have never had a problem. I look at the sellers rating before I buy.

Like anything MrsSky, there is a learning curve. Read each listing carefully Be a bit careful with two things, orchids from overseas, and if it sounds too good to be true...
If you sign up and register with paypal your money is fully protected. I only buy using paypal, and most good sellers prefer that. It's kind of fun. )

I love dendrobium hybrids but couldn't find online vendors who have good selections.
Please post any vendor with good selections as I would love to know.

Regarding buying from ebay stores, I've only bought cattleyas from a nursery based in Hawaii. I am extremely happy with the quality of the plants I got, the way they were so carefully packed, and how fast shipment arrived after making payments.
I guess it depends on the vendor though.
Mine was kawamoto. They have some dendrobiums as well, but no antelope type I don't think.

I have Cherry Dancer, Genting Fragrance, Warawan, and a really really dark plum colored one, blue violet one and all green one. All are hybrids and frangrant to varying degree except for Warawan, which has no scent at all.
If you want, I'll keep you informed when I get keikis.

I was hoping to pick up some cool new plants at the National Capitol Orchid Show this 6-8. As I could not wait....I picked up a blooming Den. antennatum and a non blooming Den. Pixie Princess H&R yesterday. I purchased these from Als Orchid Exchange (they are on his website). Both had some minor bug issues and they are on treatment and quarantine now.

Hopefully more will follow me home tomorrow from the show.

I love Pixie Princess although I don't have one.

I just visited H&R (never heard of before) and they had so many colorful catts!

I did find four dendrobiums I want to buy like right now!

By the way, what kind of bugs did your plants come with?

I never suffered bug issues other than thrips (brought in by fresh cutflowers and african violets) and one cattleya that came with soft bodied scales.

Even when I grow orchids right next to other houseplants that are attacked by spider mites, orchids are totally unaffected. strange, in a good way.

I agree with you Orchidman. Snails in my garden love Amaryllis leaves, and ignore the cymbidium leaves all together next to it.

If I were a snail and had the option, I would also go for amaryllis leaves over cymbidium.
