Wow!
It's so beautiful!
I love these. I got a couple of small stems sent in the mail, and they are lying on moist river sand at the moment. They shoot very nice, and they grow fast. I hope they continue like this and that I will have flowers like these in a couple of years.
What did you do to make it so happy?

I'm sure they will I don't do anything special with any of my orchids - just water (rain water) when they need it and feed when I remember! Sorry, that must sound really unhelpful!

Jenny:
What a lovely plant! Whoever said they don't like white orchid must not really like orchids! This plant is lovely and I love the green throat!
Some nobiles will not give out scent unless they receive a blast of light and warmth. Put it in a sunny window in late afternoon indoors and you might be able to smell something.

Really lovely!
How do you grow this one. I was given a similar looking orchid in March and I don't really know how to grow it. Currently it's in an east window in my dining room and as with everything I'm probably not watering it enough. It's starting to grow new shoots which is a start.

Thanks everyone
Rosie, this one is in a similar position to the firebird (but on the floor due to lack of cabinet/ shelf space!) - so south-facing room and diffuse light. I mist everything in this room everyday/ every other day to help with the humidity. It's in a big bark mix and so gets watered once a week (or, in the brief spells of 'hot' we've had, twice a week). Umm, not much else to say really.
