The cane cuttings technique doesn't work well with Phal type dendorbium, unless u live in a tropic. YOu will normally has a better success rate with nobile type dendrobium, which tent to produce keikis more easily.

In Thailand, they just laydown row after rows of the canes under shade house. Doubt it will get enough humidity and heat to trigger the keikis in our climate.
