Default Dendrobium amboinensis

Been getting up early such that I would see this one flower: the flowers open at dawn and stay open for a few hours only. Although the plant has flowered before, I have never seen it before.

And it is a pain taking good pictures because the flowers open downwards, the wind was going outside and the flowers are all over the place and the light is poor when the flowers open.

The blooms are very pretty, Lars. When you say that they only remain open for several hours, do you also mean that they only last that long, or do they open for that short duration of time over an extended period of days or weeks? Any fragrance to them?

They only last that long: they open at dawn, and perish a few hours later. I have read that sometimes they last until afternoon, but not longer ...
