Hi,
I have been growing a mounted Epigeneium cymbidioides for about 6 months. the most recent growth was becoming fairly mature. Just recently I noticed it cracked
And now the bulb is yellowing a bit.
Sorry no pix at this time. I have no digital camera...maybe i can borrow one.
how did this happen? I have heard of pbulbs cracking when plants grow too quickly, but this bulb wasnt larger than any of the others. In fact there are older pbulbs from before this division was mounted that are bigger than the cracked bulb.
Could a dramatic temperature change cause this?
I have had some major temperature problems in my apartment where it was on the edge of too cool, then shifting toward too warm and thus low humidity.
Now the heat and humidity under control they way i want it...but my plant is hurt.
