Shipping Dendrobiums?
Default Shipping Dendrobiums?

Hi,

I'm looking at buying my first dendrobium (dend. parishii).
Problem is, its lost all its leaves and is just now starting to grow them in. Is this a good time to buy it? or will it be too stressed from the move (being shipped)?
And does anyone know the best conditions for this variety?

Thanks in advance

I'm sure others more knowledgeable than I will post.
I have a "den parishii" that was purchased bare leafed 5 years ago but not shipped to me. Presently it is doing well. If it were me I wouldn't be to concerned as many of the orchid growers send plants "bare root" without any stress to the plants.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, the grower emailed me back and said they were coming to a show in my area and will just bring it with them. So it works perfectly!

For your den. parishii, what are your growing conditions like? This is my first 'branching' out away from phals
