as a ps. I would much rather be pessimistic, and think it will be keikis than be disapointed when they are not flowers! LOL

I've got nubbins too! And a yellow leaf. That's ok, isn't it? This entire plant (the cane) is 2.5 inches long. It's my first nobile, I've only had it for four weeks, and I have no clue what I'm doing.
Marilyn
P.S. My first try at posting a pic; hope it works.

Hi, Marilyn! You DO have nubbins! And better yet, they look to be BUD nubbins!! Yes, the yellowing leaf is completely normal. These nobile Dens are deciduous – the canes will eventually lose all their leaves.
Good growin'!

Since we're sharing nubbin pictures here are my two.
The first 3 pics are of Den. Swallow. Notice the bud that dried up. The next 2 pics are of a NOID. It will only have 4 flowers this year due to poor culture, but that nice big cane it threw out after my culture got better should put on a nice show next year. It's also starting a new growth. Last pic is a group shot.

Very nice Terri! Yours is a bit more advanced than mine; mine just started sending up a new growth from the base of the pseudobulb. How long has your new cane been growing?

I had mine in a cold location-- so maybe that made it send out buds sooner.
