Default Dendrobium 993

I was fortunate to get a few orchids from the late Jack Webster's estate sale back in Sept. His son John was a great help in suggesting culture requirements but this Den was only identified as #993. But no matter.
This is an 8" pot and the plant is about 12" high and spreads about 20". As suggested I was growing it outside in the yard. With the cooler temps moved it to a sunporch to keep temps above 40 F. With the oncoming artic cold we will receive, I went to move it inside. And discovered multiple flower spikes. I was expecting flowers closer to the spring when the plant could be outside, sunny and warm.
Any help in what the plant requires now (light, temps, water, fert) would be appreciated.
The 1st photo shows plant overall-the dried flower spikes from last spring were still on so i left them to give me an idea of what to expect.
The 2nd photo shows an old cane, you can see the dried spikes from the crown and new spikes lower between the leaves.
The 3rd photo tries to show a new cane with a heavier spike just starting from the crown.
Thanks for any help.

Default Den Kingianum perhaps??

That would be nice. If so, then I need to keep it cool, with nite temps near 40 F ? Resume water when buds start to form on spikes ? Resume fertilizer when flowers open ? And always high light ?

If so, are my culture assumptions correct ? Would love to get this to bloom -- it could be spectacular !!

It sounds like you are doing the right thing and the flower spikes would indicate that also.

I agree, it looks like a Den kingianum. In which case, you gave it the conditions it needs to bloom. Good job! They like cool, very bright winters, with reduced watering. I'm not sure when to resume normal watering, (either when buds appear or when new growths appear) since I've only had mine since spring. If yours has both buds and new growths, I would say you can resume normal care.

Many kingianum hybrids share vegetative similarities, regardless of that the culture for kingianums will work perfectly for their hybrids. It's always exciting waiting for a NOID to bloom =)

The plant has been in flower for months now. Have a few spikes still looking good -- for a few weeks still. The flowers smell like Lily of the Valley (according to my wife). Still would be interested in trying to get an ID. Do the flowers still support the idea that it is a Den. kingianum ?? Thanks

I have a kingianum x speciosum that looks pretty much identical to yours, and also has a lilly of the valley type scent. Funny you mention it, because I was trying so hard to place why it smelled so familiar! I notice the scent is/was (it's not in bloom now) strongest in the morning.

Anyhow, mine has just a bit of purple veining on the lip, and looks from the picture that yours does too.
