Dend. griffithianum Male
Default Dend. griffithianum

I got this plant several years ago but could not let it bloom. The spikes appeared suddenly two weeks ago, which really surprised me. The species normally blooms in late spring in Taiwan. But they tend to like cool nights, which makes it not easy to bloom them in lowlands.

Hey maybe I can grow that one here. I haven't seen that particular species before, it makes for a beautiful display.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words.
Bolero, this species is from tropical mountainous areas and as I know, it does well in temperate zones. If you can bloom most large-flowered cymbidiums, it is no problem to flower this one!

I should have no problems then, thanks Pheli.

Another one to add to my wish list as I have no idea where to buy them here.

;-)

I agree with everyone here, this is a knock-out.

Great growing. Enjoy!
