This thread has gotten quite convoluted and long! Think I'll go search New World for more mini moniliforme Dendros! Think I'm liking the Hakuunrya type plants - lot of flower for such a small plant, and nice leaves too.

This would be my objective in choosing one. I prefer small/compact because of space issues. Any others from my list or that you can recommend from the website?

Yaunt to see my TWO new moniliformes?
New World Orchids

Hakuturu: (White Crane) White flowers with green margin, 6".

Matsushima: Pearly, crystalline-white flowers, miniature growing plant, only a few inches tall.

I've already transplanted the Hakuturu in an Erin pot. . .now, I need another one.

The Matsushima has new buds or leaves forming at the top of some of the canes!

I just love these!

Gwen - what great plants!! I have a Hakuturu and its a pretty little thing. (Nice pots, too! )

Sandy, you really can't go wrong with any of those choices. Whichever one you get, you'll love it. They are all really small growing, just some are super-mini, like the Hakuunrya.

Ross, I have a Mangetsu that is similar to Hakuunrya. I think I like those little ones with the rounded leaves the best.

Happy looking 'chids there Gwen! So when do these need to begin their winter rest, how long for, and does the winter rest mean no watering at all?
