Dendrobium labeled 'gibsonii'
Plant and flowers look nothing like the photos I've googled, and the plant description differs from Jay Pfahl's in IOSPE.
The flowers, to me, look like Den. moschatum, but the plant really doesn't.
This plant has canes as fat as my fingers, close to 5' (1.75m) long. Flowers on both bare and leafed canes. The flowers are in clusters, fragrant, and last only a few days.
I'm stumped, but will leave the label on until I know better. I bought 3 Indian species from the same vendor, and as they bloom out, so far 2 of 3 have been labeled incorrectly. Oooh, just can't wait for that third one to flower!
