Default Den. nobile NOID in Bloom

I gave this guy a hard winter rest this year. It went out to my quilting studio on 10/31. The studio maintains a temp in the mid to high 40's in the winter unless I'm working out there. I did not water at all. It sat in a west facing window, so it got plenty of afternoon light. It only produced 2 buds, and on an old cane. The new cane it grew last year didn't produce anything. It came back inside on 2/14 a little bedraggled looking. It perked right up after I hit it with some water. So, why so few buds? Could this be a nobile that doesn't require as hard a winter rest as the species? With no clue on the parentage it's a little hard to make culture decisions. I'm not really complaining. At least it bloomed. Just curious. What do you all think?

I as well have a nobile in which to my surprise gave me only minimal blooms than the previous year. I am thinking mine needed a bit more watering than it had received over the "so called Florida winter months".

I think 2008 is the year of rebellion for the nobiles!
None of mine flowered as much as they usually do.

Next winter, I'll be experimenting and only giving a few that specifically call for a true rest the conditions they want. The others will get treated as they do the rest of the year.

The outcome can hardly be worse than it was this year so...

I know there has been breeding going on for a while to get warm growing nobiles. I'm guessing these don't need a true winter rest, maybe just a pause or reduction. This might be one of those though I'll probably never know since it's a NOID.
