Den. Proud Appeal 'Delicata' - Care Advice

Good morning all,

I recently purchased a Dendrobium Proud Appeal 'Delicata'. I don't know much about dendrobiums, so I went in search for info on their care and was surprised to see very little out there that's specific to this plant. I then searched for its parents thinking this might be helpful, but all I found was forum postings that it's an extremely complex hybrid. How should I care for this? Aside from following the culture sheets for Den., does anyone have any tips on caring for this orchid?

Additional info if needed: she arrived in sphagnum in an open plastic basket. I plan to switch her to a bark mix in a plastic pot at some point. Will be moving her out of isolation into an east facing window once examination is complete.

Thanks in advance for any advice on medium, light levels, fertilizing, and anything else you can think of.

Do you know about Orchid Roots (used to be Blue Nanta)? You can do a search there and get the percentages of background for any registered orchid. Even better, though will be comments from growers, to give you an idea of which of the species dominates.

It is 25% atroviolaceum, so moist, intermediate temps, med. light. Also has formosum, infundibulum,macrophyllum, bigibbum and discolor. That seems to indicate some temperature tolerance and not too picky about the exact amount of light,. You can do more research for better information. Good luck.
