Default Paphiopedilum as Fresh Cut Flower

I only get to see the flowers when I water the plants because the flowers usually face the window not me.

I like a bunch of them close together like this better.

The tallest one is a cross between tonsum and a vini maudiae type that I posted here before.
The rest, I'm not going to bother typing in all the names.

Happy New Year!!!

I have done this once before and they lasted for about one month in the vase, so not too bad.

Yes, I broke off a spike when my paph launched itself off my kitchen counter on Boxing Day. It's been happily sitting in rainwater ever since looking quite plump and pleased with itself.
