Default Paphiopedilum malipoense - seedling

Hi, a first flowering seedling. Grows down close to freezing and grows well for me in a wide variety of conditions.

THis plant was imported from Taiwan last year and I have to say the shape is fairly disappointing. Also there is no new growths coming to replace the flowering growth so I pray it grows some new ones soon.

However, I think the colour is quite nice despite the poor shape........

I like it. Mali is my favorite paph species and yet it's the one species I can never seem to keep alive, so I just try to enjoy its hybrids which seem to do just fine for me.

Good growing. I actually think yours is a nice example, but I'm probably not a good judge since I like pretty much any malipoense I see.

They are pretty easy to grow and like to cool down a bit in winter. Maybe you just need to try something different with yours.
