What's that hiding?
Ok I guess I have to start moving my plants a bit farther apart. This surprise was hiding under an overzealous Cattleya Intermedia-Gigas!
One flower, but first Paph. rothschildianum to flower for me.
Will post a better pic once I get it out of there!

Ok, I managed to get it out of the bush! It had a curled, dried leaf which a neighboring cattleya had grown roots all into and around it. Maybe my plants are a bit close!
Have never flowered a Paph. rothschildianum before, so it unusual to only have one flower? I can see the underdeveloped stem under the flower, like it planned to continue upwards. Just not enough juice?
This is an 'Excelsior' FCC/AOS x 'Gigantic' FCC/AOS cross.

Flower looks wonderful. I don't know about it's flowering habits though.

Nice! How old is the plant? Could be it didn't get enough light if it was buried.

Beautiful! The plant could be young or didn't get enough of something.
