Default Paph. Vinicolor 'Black Jack'

This guy was picked up yesterday and repotted today. I bought from one of our Swedish vendors when I saw it on their site. Couldn't really resist the dark, wine red coloured, and glossy textured flower and the rather dark green, mottled foliage.

It had a nice root system, but was planted in a bit too big a pot so I potted it into a smaller one. It has four fans of which one is in bloom and another in spike. If I'm lucky both the spike and the second bud on spike number 1 won't blast.

I'm just a bit sad that I don't know which hybrid it is. I've asked the vendor if it's possible to track down an ID for it, since it seems a bit weird to me that a NoID get a clonal name...

Anyway, here it is!

The dorsal got a bit misshapen during the shipment:

Here it is in its new pot (the old on is only there for size comparison):

Thanks guys! I'm really satisfied with it and it seems there's a multiflora or a sequential bloomer in its background, since the spike which is in bloom now, has another bud on the way.

nice color.
Might be Hsinying Black Jack but as with phals next to impossible to properly 100% identify. Also read that a lot of tagged plants sold these days are not properly id'd and so the tag is next to worthless.
But we can always enjoy the plant !!!!

Here's flower number two:

I'm glad this bud made it since the second spike blasted. The flower is smaller but the overall shape is better.

I'm still trying to find an ID for it (it's most probably a Maudiae x charlesworthii hybrid, but I want to know).

Oh your plant is wonderful. I had a vinicolor once and I killed it. You make me want to try again.
