Two new blooms in progress...
Default Two new blooms in progress...

I lost the tag on the first one before taking a picture of it. Judging by the bud coloration, it looks like spicerianum and stone elf, but the leaves are slightly mottled. hmmmm....

The second one is a vini color and name is long to type in so I post a picture of the tag instead.
The flower just began to open today and what I can tell so far is that I love the dark color, the flower is highly glossy inside and out, the pouch is not dented (I really don't like it when that happens, so great news!!).
I just can't wait to see it open up all the way.

For now, it looks like a person with a dark hooded clothes on, or one of those toothed carnivorous plants in little kids cartoons.

The first one is opening up today and I see the dreaded dent basically all over the pouch. But other than that, I like the color. green with white picotee and some spots on the dorsal. petals are dark tan. I will post pictures when fully open.

The vini color one has a pouch that I'm 100% happy with! smallish compared to the overall flower size and right shape and no depression of any sort. Yay!!!

So these are finally fully open, although the green one continue to curl its dorsal outward. I guess it's the spicerianum influence. love the green color! about the only thing I like about this flower actually. I also like its leaves.

Both flowers are quite hairy on different part of the flowers. sort of reminds me of house fly's legs.

I'm very happy with the vini color. the shape, color...and how tall the spike is!
