Maybe this should have gone under the "pests and disease" forum! Anyone else familiar with the marmorated stinkbugs that seem to be taking over?

What do you want to know?
If you are sure about the name of this stinkbug, yes they are pests. I didn't know about this stinkbug specifically so I had to look it up. Some stinkbugs are good because they eat other bugs, some are bad because they feed on plants. This species particularily likes to feed on fruit (in the botanical sense, so including things like beans)

We've been seeing them here in the Hudson Valley for the last 3-4 years. I haven't seen them on my orchids though!

gives a new meaning to an orchid with a stinky scent.
I have stinkbugs appearing on my butternut squash plantings every year. I spot the adults and the eggs, never the in-betweeners. The problem is they don't seem to have natural predators, so if you don't kill them the population explodes.
