Not really sure yet. I'm not going to keep them all for sure. I'll probably be giving away some of it for sure. I have other compots of other paph species as well. I just get a kick of raising them from flask.

Hi, I'm resurrecting this thread because I'm curious what these little guys look like now! Are they bloom size yet?

Yes, they are blooming size now. I think a few of them are in sheath. I kept 8 of them and gave all the others away. I will post photos of the 8 seedlings later. Thanks.

Wow~ It takes less than two years for delenatii to reach bloom size from deflasking?

That makes me hopeful about my tiny plant of Molly Ott (Lynleigh Koopowitz crossed again with delenatii) which is barely 2 inchs, but with seven leaves.
I just got it at a show weeks ago just because it was cheap and so cute. I wasn't thinking too much about when I would ever see it flower, if ever.

I see that it is pushing a new leaf ever since it was brought home.

I am really tempted to try flask after reading your posts. hmmm

Are the ones in sheath the biggest ones that liked to stick together? did you ever separated them??

How are all the smaller ones doing?

Did you spray them to prevent rots after deflasking?

I would love to learn the care for the deflasked seedlings.

I thought about getting flasks mainly because it is cheaper that way and higher chance of getting something nice. Space has been the main constrain along with my scare of rotting of the baby plants.

Now that many of the parvis are rather small, I might give it a try.

Please post flower photos when these bloom out.
It would be lovely!

By the way, did you get the flask from orchid inn?

Yes same with Paph. vietnamense. This are the two fastest growing parvi for me

Yes they did separate eventually. Do not force the small seedlings to separate when you deflask. Once they have grown significantly. You will be able to separate them with ease when they have thicker roots

How are all the smaller ones doing?

They have done well and caught up with the others but the 1/4 of the seedlings are ahead. As expected with a flask. Some seedlings will be ahead of the others.

Did you spray them to prevent rots after deflasking?

I did not spray and I had 100% survival rate on this particular flask. I gave all the other seedlings when they are about 4-5" leaf span so they are all well established and rooted.

I would love to learn the care for the deflasked seedlings.

Paph delenatii is a good species to try for the first time.

I will thank you.

Nope, I got this one from Ching Hua from Taiwan when they came to an orchid show here in Canada.

Thank you for the answer and photos!

Wow~ the ones you are holding are big!!!

My Olly Mott with seven leaves are barely 3in across.
Given the number of leaves, it is not that young, but the whole thins is so small. hmmm either I got lucky or the thing is a runt. will find out I guess.
I am super curious how the flower would turn out.

By the way, is that the location where you grow your paphs? Close to window that is blinded a little?

I may grow mine a bit too bright. lol

One question about your potting and humidity... I see you pot them in bigger pots but shallow-ly. Do you put them someplace extra humid for awhile or just leave them like they are?

The pots are just regular pots. Whatever I have in hand. I just leave them where they are.
