Thank You, Gloria for your encouragement...I was once scared to grow Paphs because of the frail and lithe stems that looks very delicate and this all just erased when Glen Gary gave me two plants! Now that I accidentally dropped this blooming plant down the stairs and it didnt even get a scratch ! I am hooked...

Default Paph. Maudiae 'Magnificum'(On Its Second Bloom Cycle)

This gave me a bigger flower with vivid colors on this blooming cycle.
I lost the old plant but a new fan has sprung....

Nice paph! Maudiae alba type is my all time favorite!
I have two that are in bloom and two more forming buds.
One of mine has Lawrenceanum as one of its direct parents.
These are one of the easiest plants to grow and flower. They will grow nciely and bloom twice a year. blooms last for months!
What's not to love!

Right now I don't have any paphs, but after reading this thread I am getting an itch to try one. Are they really as easy as you say??? I mean...for a REAL beginner? I absolutely love the colors and the "style" of the ones you are sharing. Thanks!

Thank You, terracotta7!!!!

Do not be scared. Orchids like these can be grown just like Phalaenopsis culture....
I also had my own misgivings and misconceptions about growing these orchids....but someone offered to give me two! I just accepted two plants blindly and I got stuck with it and had to grow them....and it survived in my care and bloomed....so if you really love this orchid then go get yourself one.
